A Week in California

Genesis Costa Mesa was born around a dining room table, with a group of Jesus lovers who were prophetically curious about the future shape of the church. Since 2017, they have built a community centered around the table, worship, prayer, storytelling, and mission. Despite being largely young in age, this community has continued to create a biblical narrative that addresses this cultural moment.

You are invited to spend two weeks engaged with this community. The purpose is to witness a new community at work, presenting Jesus to a hurting world. You will participate in worship, join one of the table communities, and serve the homeless—listening, observing, and learning.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to spend time with a new church plant in Huntington Beach. Led by an ex-professional surfer, you will be able to share the gospel on Huntington Pier, assist in their worship, and serve in any other capacity the plant may need. We believe this is essential for you to experience the full residency.
